Recent R&D work on full length scintillating homogeneous liquid xenon/krypton (LXe/Kr) cells has established the essential properties for precision EM calorimeters: in-situ calibration using α's, radiation hardness as well as the uniformity required for δE/E ≅ 0.5% for e/γ's above 50 GeV. |
