Annotation. In the context of the energy crises and sanctions wars sustainable development («SDG») is commonly considered as a challenge and a goal for the development of any state as an independent sovereign state and a member of the international community. In this paper we are intended to show the role of education in achieving this goal taking into account the problems that modern businesses currently face (especially Russian energy companies), considering that the economic efficiency and sustainable growth of distinct corporations and entire energy industry, the possibilityof achieving the goals that the Russian state sets for them in the new SDG reality, rely upon the effective corporate governance of energy companies.
