An abscess of the thigh, quadriceps, and iliopsoas muscles are relatively common, but both the upperand lower body may be affected (3). . The long-term sequelae of pyomyositis includeosteomyelitis of adjacent bones, myonecrosis ,muscle scarring, prolonged hospitalization and significant functional impairment (4).
