Popis: | Brazil is located in southeastern of South America and is the country with largest land area in South America. Hydropower is the main source of power. This paper introduces the Brazilian power industry reform process and highlights two phases of reform over the past 20 years. The first phase occurred in the 1990s, when there was no opportunity to fully implement the reform plan, and the reform was in a state of idleness. Then, the state began to intervene and planned the second phase of reform, which was implemented in 2004. Under the new market mode, the government has re-emphasized medium and long-term planning, and has introduced some new mechanisms. Now, the market operates stably and provides valuable experience for China's power market construction. |
