Popis: | This paper presents the development of a new framework for prosthesis optimization and subject-specific rehabilitation program for transfemoral amputees. It combines both experiments and modeling, including gait analysis, subject-specific simulation of gait and finite element modeling of residual limb and prosthesis interaction. Preliminary results demonstrate how reaction forces between the residual limb and prosthesis can be estimated and used as input data for detailed finite element analysis. Gait simulation may provide useful insight in subject-specific rehabilitation program while finite element simulation may provide feedback to prosthesis optimization with respect to various daily activities. |
