Popis: | The ever increasing carbon foot print as a result of exhaustive utilization of non-renewable energy sources has caused an alarming change in environmental conditions. This review discusses recent advances in Fuel Cell Technology and draws a comparison between two prominent fuel cells namely, Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell and Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC). The review puts forward discrete advantages and disadvantages of the two mentioned fuel cells. A discussion is put forward in form of tabulated data consisting previous experimental studies of SOFC and significant findings of PEMFC technology. At the end a comprehensive conclusion has been drawn and also the future aspects are postulated. |
