This systematic review of the literature seeks to identify the current research evidence on customer-perpetrated violence in the retail and hospitality sectors. It will identify and summarise: i) the current definitions of customer-perpetrated violence in the hospitality and retail sector, ii) the data collection methods used by researchers to investigate reports of customer-perpetrated workplace violence, iii) the victims, perpetrators, and workplace characteristics associated with workplace violence, and iv) the procedures of reporting victimisation. |
