Mechanical Composites of Rimantadine and Larch Arabinogalactan

Popis: | Mechanical composites were produced by mechanochemical treatment of a mixture of the antiviral drug rimantadine and arabinogalactan (AG) isolated from larch wood. Their properties were studied using PMR, 13C and 15N NMR, and IR spectroscopy. It was found that AG and rimantadine did not react chemically under the studied conditions. The mechanical treatment decreased the size of crystalline rimantadine particles and produced amorphous material according to x-ray diffraction analysis. The mechanochemical treatment dispersed rimantadine in the AG matrix. |
