Popis: | In this paper we analyze mathematical model of the scattering of electromagnetic wave on the electrical inhomogeneities of clouds and precipitation. This model is based on the well-known Mie's approach together with the fact that a charged aerosol particle has semiconducting properties. The analysis of numerical results (with a size distribution for aerosol particles in the form of gamma-distribution) shows that the resonant phenomena that arise when we irradiate the electrically active areas of clouds and precipitation make it possible to obtain an information both on the magnitude of the charge of aerosol particles and the electric field strength in the clouds and precipitation. |
