Popis: 1. 1. Both isomers of 14C-labellcd dl -glycerate have been shown to be metabolized by baker's yeast. 2. 2. The radioactivity was found to be incorporated into the soluble intermediates of the glycolytic pathway and the tricarboxylic acid cycle and into trehalose, glycerol, and several amino-acids. 3. 3. 14C-Glycerate was also found to be metabolized to a lesser extent by chopped preparations of mouse and rat liver. The radioactivity was mainly incorporated into glucoce, glycerol, alanine, and lactate. 4. 44. The effect of some classic inhibitors on the metabolism of 14C-glyceratc in these tissues has been studied.
