Development of Vehicles Tracking System using Multiple Video Image on 3-Dimensional Coordinate

Popis: In order to grasp the behavior of moving objects such as pedestrian, bicycles and cars, observing the time series data of their behavior is effective. Up to the present, these data were acquired by analyzing the video image that recorded the field traffic situation is. We reviewed the problems of the existing methods, and developed moving objects tracking system that overcome the problems. Integration the 3DCG technology and video image analytic technology is characteristic of this new system. This system has made it possible to track moving objects by 3-dimensional coordinate, and to track moving objects for long spatial interval using sequential video images by several VCR. The fundamental approaches of this system, outlines of applied coordinate transformation method, and tracking procedures of moving object are introduced in the first part of this paper. And then the effectiveness of this system is discussed through the case of the analysis of driving behavior in the expressway merging section.
