Popis: | Reflectance of stoichiometric ZrN was investigated from 0.22 to 5.50 eV as a function of temperature between 20 and 700 °C. The complex dielectric function was calculated by a Kramers–Kronig analysis and split to find the interband and intraband contributions, using Drude’s theory. This decomposition showed an interband maximum at 2.5 eV which became less pronounced with increasing temperature. Temperature increase had two main effects, first to increase the damping term of the conduction electrons without a significant change of the plasma frequency, second to shift the screened plasma frequency towards lower energies. |
