Popis: | The demand for transport fuel has been increasing and expectations are that this trend will remain unchanged for the coming decades. Variations in the emissions the of carbon dioxide (CO2) carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HCs) have been computed for various blends of soyabean and mustard oils with petrol at different engine loads in computerised variable compression ratio multi-fuel (CVCRM) engine test rig. It is concluded that out of the two mustard oil blends, 20-PRM shows the lowest carbon monoxide (CO) emissions (in percentage) at all the engine loads i.e., 2.5 kg, 5 kg and 7.5 kg, where as the blend of 20-PRM shows almost zero carbon monoxide (CO) emissions at the load of 7.5 kg. The emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) decreases on increasing the engine load for the blend of 15-PRS while it increases on increasing the engine load for other fuels. |
