Popis: | 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, 21-25 September 2009, Hamburg, Germany; 1253-1255 The RAYSOLAR project was born in 2007 in order to develop and build a new purification system for solar-grade silicon via the metallurgical route with low energy consumption and low cost. The main goal was to setup a single system where all the required processes for silicon refining (including simultaneous removal of metal and dopant impurities) could be done, in order to have an extremely simplified solar-grade silicon production equipment. At present time a process and equipment for upgraded metallurgical silicon has been developed and tested on lab scale. The process has a very lo power consumption, does not use slags and is environmentally safe. Based on lab results a pilot line with less than 10 kWh/kg consumption is under construction. |
