Popis: | A model of texture segmentation is presented based on the combination of the outputs of six weak texture operators. The combination procedure is a simple statistic in which the center of gravity of the set of suggested boundaries produced by the six operators is computed. The model is effective both as a procedure for texture segmentation and as a model of an important human visual process. The need for heuristic rules suggests that top-down processing may be a general requirement for any theory of human vision. |
