Popis: | This paper focuses on the design of Raptor codes, which are transmitted in Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels. The decoding algorithm is the global iterative Belief Propagation (BP) decoding algorithm. The Gaussian approximation method is used to analyze the asymptotic performance of the global iterative decoding for these Raptor codes. Based on this, an optimization method for the design of optimal output bit node degree distribution functions is given. These functions are utilized to construct the Raptor codes with better performances over AWGN channels. Simulation results verify that the Raptor codes constructed by this paper can greatly improve the decoding performance, i.e. the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance at the decoder. |
