Popis: | The paper presents the evolution of the previously proposed model for estimating the communication path utilization efficiency. The improved model allows to explicitly take into account the errors occurring in the communication path during data stream transmission, both based on the analysis of the actual captured communication path traffic and using a priori known probability characteristics of the transmission errors; provides the possibility of by-layer decomposition of the integral communication path utilization efficiency coefficient for analyzing the contribution of the network model individual layers and the corresponding protocols to the resulting efficiency; is considered more formalized and pragmatic. The model can be used to estimate the efficiency of communication path utilization by various streaming technologies, predicting the effect of errors on the resulting efficiency, investigating the weakly determined protocols, and also comparing the competing transmission technologies among themselves by the integral efficiency criterion.
