Popis: | Barristers commonly use strategies of discrediting the witness, controlling the range of information, changing meaning and overgeneralization when conducting cross-examinations. Each manoeuvre is designed to alter the meaning ascribed to the witness's evidence. Techniques are discussed that enable witnesses to convey the intended meaning of their evidence, using examples from child care cases. |
