Popis: | Peridynamics (PD) is a nonlocal form of continuum mechanics theory. It has advantages in simulating damage and fracture problems. In this paper, a twodimensional bond-based peridynamic model has been extended into three-dimensional for laminated composites. In the modeling, both the critical bond stretch and critical bond compression have been used to describe the damage of the interface of laminates. The proposed PD model is then employed to study the failure of a laminated composite plate under out-of-plane impact loading. The matrix damage and delamination have been simulated in the plate with a good match with the experimental results. |
