Popis: Many investigators recently have used nonmyeloablative regimens to achieve alloengraftment as an effort to reduce morbidity and mortality after conventional allogeneic SCT. According to published data, it appears that in the majority of cases full or nearly full donor chimerism was registered (Giralt et al 1997, Khouri et al 1998, Slavin et al 1998). Compared with conventional SCT, in this section myeloid chimeras showed slow pattern of substitution to donor type, while lymphoid engraftment was more rapid and predicted alloresponse and acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) (Childs et al 1999). However, mixed chimeric state was registered more often and seemed to be prolonged. Producing of mixed chimerism was always thought to reduce the risk of GVHD but it may also lead to tumor tolerance and abolishing of graft-versus-leukemia effect (GVL) (McKinnon et all 1994, Gardiner et all 1997).
