Popis: In 1964 the Dutch Heart Foundation (NHS) was founded with, as its main objective, the combating of heart and vascular diseases in the broadest sense, preventive as well as curative. In 1971 some parents applied to this organization with the request to look after the interests of children with congenital heart diseases. This resulted in the formation of a parents’ organization (OKHF), managed by some parents and representatives of the NHS, a pediatric cardiologist and a psychologist from one of the centres for pediatric cardiology. A popular women’s magazine organized a puzzle competition for its readers to raise money for a well-equipped vacation site in the middle of the country.
