Science education in Saudi Arabia has witnessed a substantial call to action to respond to the aims and challenges of the twenty-first century. Science curricula across all the 12 educational grade stages have been reformed (Alriyadh, 2008), and an official document outlining the national professional standards (NPS) including science disciplines is being developed cooperatively by TATWEER (King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Public Education Development Project) and Qiyas (National Center for Assessment in Higher Education). |
