Popis: | Single crystals of high-pressure phases of α-PbO 2 and TiO 2 II were grown under hydrothermal conditions. Dark brown crystals of lead dioxide with a size of about 0.25 mm ×0.25 mm ×0.65 mm were obtained at p =4 GPa and T =300–600 °C. Transparent, colorless crystals of titanium dioxide with a size of about 0.03 mm ×0.03 mm ×0.15 mm were grown at p =9–9.5 GPa and T =600–900 °C. Crystal morphology is presented for both compounds. |
