Popis: A research on RFID tag antenna for attaching on metallic objects has become a popular issue. On the basis of Yagi antenna, a RFID tag antenna that is suitable for mounting on a metal ground plane is designed in this paper. It consists of a driven element (folded dipole), a reflector and five directors. The analysis of antenna performance is done by HFSS. The simulation results demonstrate that 5dBi antenna gain is achieved when it operates at the frequency of 2.45GHz.
