Popis: | Crystals of DIMET·I 3 and (DIMET) 2 I 3 are prepared and their crystal structures determined. The crystal of DIMET·I 3 consists of DIMET dimer and I 3 anions. (DIMET) 2 I 3 is isostructural with (DMET) 2 I 3 , in which the donor molecules form columns. DIMET·I 3 is an insulator. The resistivity under pressure and thermoelectric power are measured for (DIMET) 2 I 3 . A metal-insulator transition is detected at about 41 K under normal pressure. Physical properties are compared with those of (DMET) 2 I 3 . |
