Popis: The paper presents an experimental study of the mechanical properties of ultra-high-ductile fiber-reinforced cementless alkali-activated slag (AAS)-based composites. Three mixtures, according to types of alkali-activators, were designed and prepared. Polyethylene (PE) fiber with high aspect ratio and high tensile strength was used as a reinforcing fiber for all mixtures. A series of experiments to measure the compressive strength and tensile behavior of AAS-based composites was performed at the ages of 7 and 28 days. The test results showed that AAS-based composites had superior tensile strain capacity, which was around 7%. The tensile performance of AAS-based composites was analyzed through the theoretical conditions for the pseudo-strain-hardening (PSH) behavior.
