Popis:	A new simple synthesis of substituted pyrroles from alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl substituted α-amino acids is described. Esters of α-amino acids are first reacted with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and in the in situ formed enamines are there-after cyclized in presence of sodium methoxide to pyrroles.
