Popis: | Despite the infrequency of gastrointestinal pseudoaneurysms, the potential risks of these vascular lesions make early diagnosis essential. Seven cases were reviewed to compare the diagnostic value of various imaging procedures. Three lesions had a pancreatitic origin and 3 others developed after surgery: no origin was identified for the last case. Ultrasonography was performed in 3 cases, but the sonographic patterns failed to suggest the diagnosis. By contrast, computed tomography constantly recognized the pseudo-aneurysms (diameters ranged between 1.5 and 3.5 cm). Angiography (5 cases) confirmed the diagnosis and was helpful for presurgical workup. A review of the literature and the authors' experience underscore the diagnostic value of CT for these lesions. |
