Popis: | The article describes a lack of ammunition protection against de-elaboration or initiation carried out in other conditions than predicted by the designers. Operational problems resulting from the presence of explosive in the initiator hole have been pointed out. It was proposed to introduce a barrier into the ammuni-tion structure, separating the explosive from the surroundings on the side of the initiator opening. The design solution is shown on the example of an artillery shell. The paper presents preliminary results of investigations on the barrier effectiveness. |
