Popis: The results of the development of frost-resistant rubbers based on epichlorhydrin rubber of Hydrin T6000 brand are demonstrated in the given article. Hydrin T6000 is a tercopolymer of epichlorhydrin, propylene oxide and allylglycidyl ether. A specific feature of Hydrin T6000 structure is the increased content of propylene oxide, which provides the copolymer with high frost-resistance. The absence of olefinic functionality in the main chain adds epichlorhydrin rubber resistance to heat, oxygen, ozone, and other factors. Chlorine in the rubber composition adapts it to the effects of hydrocarbon media (oils, fuels, fats, waxes, solvents). Thus, due to the combination of such properties as oil-, benzo-, thermo-, ozone resistance, as well as high frost-resistance (Tg ≈ minus 60°C), epichlorhydrin rubber of Hydrin T6000 brand by Zeon Chemicals L.P. is of great interest for creating frost-resistant rubbers for various purposes. The paper presents 10 formulations of rubber mixtures based on epichlorhydrin rubber of Hydrin T6000 brand with different content of ingredients (filler, plasticizer, curing system, antioxidants, etc.) and their physical-mechanical properties. It has been established that the developed rubbers based on Hydrin T6000 have high frost and oil resistance at an acceptable level of deformation set after compression and strength characteristics.
