Popis: In this chapter, we evaluate how over-the-counter (OTC) supplements may affect the different aspects of men's health (sexual function, urinary function, and hormonal balance) and any potential associated risks. Willingness to pursue this line of therapy stems from the belief that herbal and complementary medicine do not simply address isolated symptoms but rather help to maintain general well-being (Shin et al. [20]). Herbal medicine and some forms of plants have been used across several generations to target several issues. In the domain of men's health, these naturopathic products were found to be beneficial to treat some forms of erectile dysfunction (ED), to treat low testosterone (hypogonadism), to improve the sensory part of some ejaculatory and orgasmic dysfunctions, and to alleviate the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostatitis.
