Popis:	The spin-polarized electronic structures of the seven-layer (100) slab, Fe2Al5 is calculated by using the discrete variational X α method. The magnetic moment of the interface Fe layer is enhanced but that of the surface Fe alayer is hardly affected by the backing with Al.
