Minds Make Strategy

Popis: Modern AI has utility in intelligence gathering and analysis. It is excellent at spotting correlations in masses of data, lightning fast, and has unerring memory. Yet it is poor at understanding what correlations mean, and prone to biases and catastrophic errors. Unlike humans, AI makes no attempt to understand the minds of other actors, using empathy or theory of mind. So, it can predict future developments in ‘toy universes,’ even complex ones like a poker game, but is less able to gauge intentions in less bounded situations, like strategy.
