Note on the distortion of beta spectra from backscattering

Popis:	Fermi-Kurie plots of the positron spectrum of Na/sup 24/ are plotted as a function of the thickness of the Al sourcebacking material. It is found that placing a 140- mu g/cm/sup 2/ Al foil behind the source produces a pronounced change (about 9%) in the spectrum below about 100 kev. (T.F.H.)
