Popis: The combined effects of pore geometry and saturation are simulated using effective media models. Static and dynamic models are considered for penny-shaped and cylindrical-shaped pores containing gas or brine. The static and dynamic solutions are compared in terms of their usefulness for distinguishing the pore geometry effects from the saturation changes. Penny-shaped and cylindricalshaped inclusions are considered. Frequency-dependent effects are shown to be critical for some aspects of the separation.
