Popis:	SUMMARY Group technology (GT) is widely considered the bridge between design and production. This paper presents a feature-based analysis of sheet metal pans. This analysis is the basis for a GT coding system. A knowledge-based system was developed to assist the design engineer in coding a part based on its features.
