Popis: | In recent years government policy has dictated a significant shift in the focus of healthcare, with the primary focus now being toward primary care. This area of practice has seen many changes with the number and variety of clinical roles expanding significantly in order to meet the public's demands for more flexible, local healthcare delivery. The focus of healthcare has shifted towards management of long-term conditions, with a focus on monitoring and prevention of reactive or unplanned care episodes and health promotion and public health. General practice nursing has seen the roles develop to encompass all of these roles, with an increasing amount of general practice nursing now taking the form of first contact care. |
