Popis: | In a dual PET ring detector, a high resolution detector ring is placed within a standard PET ring. For the outer ring detector with a spatial resolution significantly worse than the resolution of the inner ring, it has been shown that the combined detector performs significantly better than a ring only system. To test performance in a system with a high resolution ring detectors, a LYSO PET module was built with total size equal to the standard size of PET detector modules, and a resolution of 1.5 mm FWHM. This paper reports characterization and calibration of the LYSO PET module and results of the preliminary PET imaging test. |
