Convoy electrons emitted from resonant coherently excited C5+ions channeled along a Au[100] axis

Popis: Convoy Electrons emitted from C5+ ions in Au[100] channel are measured in coincidence with exist C6+ ions. An enhancement of the convoy electron yield is observed at the energy of resonant coherent excitation (20.4 MeV, 2nd harmonic for n = 1 to n = 2). This indicates that electron loss from excited states plays an important role in convoy electron production by fast channeled ions.
