| Popis: | Aim-Background The present review of the literature evaluates whether laparoscopic resection of gastric GISTs can become the new “gold standard” treatment, analyzing perioperative characteristics and long-term oncological outcome. Surgery remains the standard treatment for non-metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs). Laparoscopic surgery is considered a suitable option, since the biological behaviour of these tumours allows for curative resection without the necessity for large margins or extensive lymphadenectomies. |
