| Popis: | A 55-year-old woman presented with hemiparkinsonism on the left side. Clinical features suggested primary Sjogren's syndrome. Eye tests and a salivary gland biopsy confirmed this diagnosis. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain showed distinct linear lesions of increased intensity on the T2-weighted images in the right striatum and globus pallidum. Treatment with prednisone and azathioprine did not give any improvement of the neurological symptoms. To date, hemiparkinsonism in association with primary Sjogren's syndrome has not been reported. |
