| Popis: | Summary Streptococcal toxic shock syndrom in characterized by multiple organ failure and isolation of group A streptococcus from blood or other sites. The death rate is high. We report the case of 27 years old woman. She suffered from a life-threatening streptococcal toxic shock acquired after a puerperal sepsis. She was treated with success by whole blood exchange and plasmapheresis after the failure of the antibiotic and surgical treatment. This case report emphasize the significance of these procedures during the toxic shock involving Gram positive bacteria. |
