Popis: A statistically designed experiment was used to optimize the physical properties of a cold water-soluble film by establishing reliable estimates of the effects of the independent variables of the system. The system consisted of polyvinyl alcohol (low molecular weight, 88% hydrolyzed) to which is grafted ethyl acrylate by a ceric ion technique. To the grafted PVA is added a higher molecular weight PVA to strengthen film.
