Stress Analysis of Anisotropic Tensile Elastic Deformation Formulation for Single and Double Walled Corrugated Fiberboards

Popis: A formulation of the anisotropic elastic deformation was presented for the double wall corrugated fiberboard (DWCF) under the uniform tensile load. The stress analysis was performed for the single wall corrugated fiberboard (SWCF) and DWCF, and the characteristics of anisotropy were elucidated for stresses of their elements.The stress pattern of semichemical corrugating medium (CM) for DWCF is similar to SWCF and its magnitude is nearly 60% of SWCF. Normal stresses σsxl and σgyl in the machine direction and the cross direction for medium CM1 of SWCF and DWCF increase with the increase of wavelength L1 for CM1 respectively.σsyl increases with the increase of wave height hi for CM1. Normal stresses σkx1, σkx2, σkx0 for kraft-liner [KL1, KL2, KL0 (middl liner)] decrease with the thickness Tk1 for KL1.σkx1, (σkly) increases with the increase of longitudinal elastic moduli in machine direction and cross direction for KL1.
