Popis: | In the present work, we have theoretically investigated the optical and magneto-optical spectra of quasi-periodic magnetic-dielectric multilayers composed by Ce:YIG and Si organized in accordance to the Octonacci sequence. Specifically, we have analyzed the influence of the incident angle in order to show the difference between TE- and TM-polarized lightwaves. By the way, the possibility of obtaining both large Faraday rotation and high transmission has been provided for both TE and TM polarizations. The width of transmission region inside the photonic band gap (PBG) is wider for TM-mode. Also, for the most incident angles, the amounts of transmittance and Faraday rotation of the TM-mode have respectively been more than 90 % and around 40°. But, TE-mode has shown larger Faraday rotations even near 90° in some of the points. Finally, in order to show the impact of the results, we have made a comparison between this new investigating quasi-periodic sequence and more commonly used Fibonacci sequence. The results show that optical and MO performances of Octonacci MPCs are higher than Fibonacci ones even with upper generations. |
