Popis:	Gives the results of investigations into the effect of cylindrical dielectric screens on the electric strengths of aerial insulating systems with a heterogeneous field at direct and impulse voltages. It has been found that, depending upon the polarity of the electrodes, the application of cylindrical screens increases or decreases the breakdown voltage of aerial systems.
