Cyber Attack Using IoT-based Malicious Device in Demand Response Applications Based on IEEE1888 Protocol

Popis: In the Demand Response (DR) System, attackers may aim to harm data in the Home, Building, Factory, Community Energy Management System (HEMS, BEMS, FEMS, CEMS) in various aspects. This paper proposes the emulated attacks to the DR system under the standard communication of IEEE1888. The emulation consisted of three main components: gateway (GW), data storage, and malicious device. The purpose of this testing system was to measure the attack effects of a malicious device hidden in the system by using FETCH procedure for reading data in the data storage when being attacked with effects on increasing the GW latency values.
