Popis: When isopropylcarbonylthiocyanate and isothiocyanate are formed from isopropylchloroformate and alkalirhodanides, rhodanide ions and ion pairs react simultaneously. The rate constants with SCN−-ions (k i) and with ion pairs MSCN ( sk ip) have been determined at various temperatures and with different alkali ions. The values of k i are equal for the rhodanides studied, whereas the values of sk ip are growing in the sequence Na+, K−, Rb+, Cs−. The activation parameters ΔH# and ΔS# are typical for an AE-mechanism.
