Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd (PCA) has been appointed by Mark Veale on behalf of LJ Partnership to carry out an archaeological watching brief on groundwork for a proposed development at The Buttermere Estate, Heath Lane, Buttermere. The development includes the construction of a new estate house with an access drive within the Buttermere Estate. The groundwork revealed clay-with-flint natural in all monitored locations. No significant archaeological remains were observed, and the Site appears to retain no archaeological potential. |
