Popis: | Because of some transportation and production limitations, HV cables have a limited length and therefore joints are an inevitable part of cable systems. The higher probability of a fault in joints makes them a critical point of any cable system. Their locations could be detected with a Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) measurement, but the preciseness of the TDR method can be improved. The Frequency Domain Analysis (FDA) method is a frequency domain measurement, but it can also be transformed in the time domain and shows similar, but maybe more sensitive results than TDR. |
